Through a one-year program funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB), RIPS has undertaken a Statistical Capacity Building initiative in Ghana. This project focuses on enhancing the data skills of personnel from the Births and Deaths Registry and the Ghana Statistical Service, equipping them to collect and analyze data more effectively for local and national development planning.

The program is designed to improve statistical capacity at the district level, ensuring that local authorities have access to high-quality data for evidence-based decision-making. Participants receive training in data collection, analysis, and reporting, which is essential for effective governance and development initiatives. The initiative supports the 2020 round of censuses, contributing to the strengthening of civil registration systems in Ghana. This project reflects RIPS’s mission to foster robust, data-driven solutions that empower public institutions and contribute to Ghana’s sustainable development goals
